If you listen to the media, you would be forgiven for believing that looking for love after 60 is like trying to find water in the desert, blindfolded, without shoes… well, you get the idea. This might have been true in the 1950s, but, we’ve come a long way since then. The truth is that more people over 60 are finding love than ever before.
Part of the reason for this is that attitudes about love are changing. Unlike a few generations ago, there is nothing taboo the topic of intimacy and sex after 60. Baby boomers believe that they have every right to look for love – and so they should!
Another reason that more boomers are finding love is technology. Not so long ago, the only way to meet people was in-person, through social clubs, sports or other activities. Now, there are a number of dating sites that cater to the over-60 crowd.
Of course, there is nothing wrong with meeting in-person, and many people prefer this approach, but, the main point here is that we have more options than ever when it comes to finding love.
